Raka Creation 

An organization that leads its path with ideology of Odisha’s great Artist Shri Raghunath Sahoo at the home like temple of late Shri Padma Charana Mahapatra, Father of founder members of Raka Creation, the man with the highest ethical values and dignity, the founder of the Raka Creation who conceptualized, it as a temple of arts and creativity and put forth its foundation for generations to come. During pandemic it functions through a WSHG with its 12 members since 2021. Its advisors Shri Raghunath Sahoo, Shri Sudhanshu Sekhar Satapathy and Smt Mamata Mohapatra blessed the organization with their innovative ideas.

Aim and Objectives of The Group

We the members of the Raka WSHG started a mission of giving financial help to the women in need at the time of this pandemic by providing them with all the materials and training so that they can earn their livelihood from creativity that enhances beauty of the place, trying to empower women with various vocational training that enhance the strength of women and give them a chance or a platform to prove their creativity, credibility and capability to stand on their own.
•To organise,promote and provide creative activities like designing of pots,bottles, artistic bags, Wall hangings,canvas painting designed antique home décor like (lantern, kettle,cup, table top, dinning top), uttariya/dupattas, glass painting decorative bag and folder etc.)and many more decorative items to make our surroundings beautiful.
• To undertake socio-economic and economic self-sufficiency programmes to eradicate poverty with creativeness.
• To impart training in different fields by organizing, demonstrating workshops, Art exhibitions, seminars, camps, conferences, media-coverage etc.
• To contribute for the development of weaker sections of the society with possible aid from various institutes and its own funding capabilities
• The activities of the Raka Creation will be non-sectorial and non-political
• To develop landscaping and beautification of heritage points through traditional tribalart works of Odisha as well as Indian culture.

Social Responsibility
• A particular sum of Raka Creation’s fund will be donated for the development of Rehabilitation centers, old age homes and orphanages, Urban slums, Red cross society etc. As a part of social responsibility after fulfilling the needs of its own numbers
Advisor’s Profile
1. Shri Sudhanshu Sekhar Satapathy :- The founder of Talent Research Center, is the pioneer of the Vedic paintings. As a Guru, a Mentor, he first planted the seed of art, aestheticism in the child’s soul and mind.
2. Shri Raghunath Sahoo, the well-known water colour artist of India, he got the award of “ Best Realistic water colour Artist of India ” in 2015. He owned the Gold medal at Youth Festival and also got the “ National award (Chinta O Chetana) ”. He has been awarded with the 7th best water colour Artist of the World
3. Smt Mamata Mohapatra, an independent and self-contained lady who usually guides for women empowerment with various creative and innovative ideas. Her contributions to empower women with various skills is immensely recognized.

Type of Art Designs
⦁Abstracts---A picture of nothing or something very vast in composition. As a “non-representational art” artists began to create simplified objections with little or no reference to the real world. Abstraction allows man to see with his mind that he cannot see physically with his eyes
⦁ Adivasi/warli- The painting generally portrays tribal activities rituals and their own hard way of living life happily. It’s a great intellectual property of the tribal community and its culture. Pattachitra—It is an oldest traditional art of Odisha and West Bengal. It is manifested by rich but vegetable color application, antique design portrayal of mythological interpretation of godly images.
⦁ Nature Design – Designs with scenic beauty of our natural environment
⦁ Mandala art- It is a geometric configuration of symbol Hindu and Buddhist culture It is a Sanskrit word for circle and represents different aspects of the universe and used as instruments of meditation. It also represents the self and that drawing a mandala gives a person a sacred space to meet that self.
⦁ Mehndi design—the design tends to be the most ornamental in nature. It depicts wisdom, protection and spiritual enlightenment.
⦁ Madhubani—it mostly depicts people and their association with nature and deities from the ancient epics. In these paintings no space is left empty .The gaps are filled with flowers, animals, birds and even geometric designs.
⦁ Rajasthani Painting—the themes are always inclined to Hinduism and legends like Krishna Lila, Ramayana Bhagabata and tradition and culture of Rajasthan. It’s inspired by Bhakti Movement.
⦁ Radhakrishna lord Jagannatha{devotional}---The devotional paintings shows the spiritual inclination
⦁ Kalamkari –Deriving its name from the word “kalam” which means pen Kalamkari refers to a particular, intricate style of hand- painting which covers the whole area of that product.
⦁ Passapalli- it is derived from “pasa” which means gambling games using chessboard and “palli” means print. A complicated check pattern of contrast colour.It’s a traditional design of Odisha.
